Let’s face it, life is full of surprises; happy, sad and everything in between. We’ve been through some of the more challenging patches and can offer the following services to help make life a little easier.
Pre-nuptial agreements – do you need one? If you do, we can negotiate the terms and draft one for you. Your beloved would need to meet with his/her own attorney to go over the document and accompanying financials. When both parties are satisfied, you will sign in front of a witness.
Property transfer – We can assist with the deeded transfer of property including the not-so-easy recording process that is unique to each county.
Name change – send us an e-mail for a free list of things to do in order to change your name. You can do it yourself or we can assist you.
It isn’t easy and it is very time consuming even after the divorce is final, especially if you have children. We offer a variety of services to ease you into the transition.
Expense reimbursement – Once the divorce is final, each party pays a portion of child care expenses above and beyond monthly child support. It is imperative that accurate records are kept to prevent a delay in reimbursement. Send us your receipts and we will organize them into a spreadsheet. We present the spreadsheet and receipts to your former spouse and request reimbursement. If your former spouse has presented you with receipts or itemized payments, we can verify the amount due and assist with the transaction. This can be done monthly or just a few times a year at reasonable rates.
Marriage, divorce or gifting a property to someone, we can effect the deed transfer and record the transfer in the suitable county.
My first job out of law school was in a criminal law office. I worked there for 6 years and loved it. I had the best boss. If you find yourself in trouble, call.
I don’t practice in this area but I can refer clients to tough lawyers that do this work every day.
